The Competition of Local Goverment Officies of the Year "Half and half" (Fifty percent representation of women) - A Reflection of the Selected Aspects of Local Goverment Officies Development

The diploma thesis analyses local authorities taking part in the competition The Authority of the Year:"Half to Half" - Respect for Equal Opportunities. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the progress, regress or stagnation of the selected local authorities with respect to gender equality. The thesis also carries out a more in-depth analysis of the current state of gender equality promotion by local authorities. The theoretical part introduces the background of promoting gender equality. Attention is paid to the strategy of gender mainstreaming and to how gender equality is connected to public administration. The research aims to analyse the development of local authorities in their promotion of gender equality, and it also provides conclusions and recommendations based on this analysis. The significance of gender audit by asserting equal opportunities for women and men: the Česká spořitelna, a.s. company case study

This dissertation is a case study of Česká spořitelna, a. s. It shows the significance of gender audit by asserting equal opportunities for women and men. The theoretical part introduces how gender equality could be asserted and also summarizes how the concept has (not) been practically fulfilled (particularly in the area of labour market). It emphasizes the gender audit as one of the possible tools of change when asserting the gender equality. The empirical part of this dissertation is investigating the significance of gender audit for asserting the equal opportunities in Česká spořitelna, a. s. Therefore it analyzes a final report of the first gender audit and compares its design with another final report that came out of the second implemented gender audit. It also analyzes the processes the company adopted after the first gender audit to promote the equal opportunities for women and men. The impacts and the efficiency of the measures (either proposed or implemented) are analyzed critically with regard to their influence on the gender equality.

Comparison of institutionalization of senior education between the Czech Republic and Kingdom of Spain

This bachelor's thesis focuses on comparison of institutionalization of elderly education in the Czech Republic and in Spain, especially on comparison of institution of the University of the Third Age in the both countries. The work is divided into five chapters. Introductory part of the thesis is devoted to theoretical bases of education of elderly people and the importance of education of older adults for the society and an individual himself, based on prognosis of trends in demographical situation in Europe. The main part of the thesis is focused on institutionalization of elderly education and there are introduced the most important forms of elderly education in the Czech Republic and in Spain. This part further results in the comparison of institution of the University of the Third Age in the both countries according to six elected criteria. The aim of the thesis is to find out if the institution of the University of the Third Age in Spain is based on the similar model as the institution of the University of the Third Age in the Czech Republic. Komparace proexportní politiky České republiky a Francie

Předmětem diplomové práce je srovnání koncepce politiky podpory exportu v České republice a ve Francii. Koncepcí se zde rozumí institucionální zabezpečení, cíle a priority proexportních politik. Podstatnou část práce tvoří popis systému politiky podpory vývozu v obou ekonomikách. Stěžejní částí je komparace institucí na základě vybraných nástrojů na podporu exportu (marketingové služby, podpora prezentace v zahraničí, financování a pojišťování exportu se státní podporou) a hledání analogie francouzských programů na podporu exportu v projektech české Exportní strategie podle definovaných cílů a priorit. Závěr tvoří porovnání pozice zemí v mezinárodním obchodě a zhodnocení účelnosti, výhod a nedostatků jednotlivých systémů.
